Playcards - Stamp London

Overview

Studio KT1 have been working with Stamp London for the past couple of years to bring Playcards to market. Matt Ballantine approached us with a prototype pack of cards with an ambition to create some more aesthetically pleasing cards akin to playing cards. He wanted a tool to prompt teams into innovating but with a playful twist,something that could be used as simply as a pack of cards.

Ellie Dallison, a Creative and Cultural Industries student worked during her studies on initial concepts and sketches to fit the brief, and then completed the project by designing the box and bespoke illustrative icons for each deck after graduation. The designs include keys, birds, plants, magnifying and magnifying glasses for each suit, all backed with a line drawing of the full set of drawings.
