Christmas Wonderland @ Bentall Centre

Overview

We were recommissioned by Blackline Creative in summer 2022 for photography assistants to work on the 30:30 campaign celebrating local people, with a social media campaign launched in November and an accompanying physical exhibition for Spring 2023 in the Bentall Centre Kingston.

The project manager on the project is Sophie Smith, a now final year CCI student who has worked with Blackline since she started at Kingston in 2021. One of the first graduates from the CCI course, Frida Skoglie has now also been rehired as a full time employee after an internship during the first Bentall’s project in 2019.

We were also given another vacant unit in the Bentall Centre for December as part of their Christmas Wonderland season. Studio KT1 curated pop up stalls from BA Graphics and Illustration Animation and Not My Beautiful House.

Workshops run by students included hands on making a Christmas Paper Village, Christmas Lanterns, Custom Fabric Printing, Lino and Monotype printed Christmas card. Activity ran on weekends in December.
